We’re really proud to announce that the proceeds from this years Easter Egg hunt will be split between two very deserving Cornish Charities.
K9 Crusaders – K9 Crusaders Dog Welfare Charitable Trust (no:1138278) based in Cornwall, England.
We deal with all kinds of issues relating to dogs, from rescue and rehoming via our Welfare Centre in Bissoe, to behavioural support and advice on many aspects of dog husbandry. We are, to our knowledge, one of the only rescue centres in Cornwall who do not have paid staff, everyone at K9 is a volunteer, so all the money raised goes to care for the dogs. We are independent and have no other income stream, and rely solely on donations to keep going and on volunteers to try to keep up with the ever increasing demand for help.
CAAP – CAAP was formed by a group of parents of children with additional needs, to support families to access activities during school holidays. We are currently pending charity status.
The criteria for CAAP are children and young people aged 0-25 years who have (or had) a statement to attend a mainstream school or go to a special school, ARB or PRU. If a child does not meet this critera but cannot attend mainstream activities, a professional involved in the child’s care can sign the referral form.
We seek grant funding to subsidise activities and these will be either just for the disabled child, for both the disabled child and their siblings or for the whole family to attend. Once registered, we add you to the secure email list and you will be notified in this way of upcoming activities. We also put all activities on our Facebook page.
We’re pleased to announce that we are now proud stockists of Cornish Olive Stall Olives! We have the full range available in ready to eat bags and for this week you’ll be able to taste a few in various dishes in our our Valley View Restaurant.
You’ll find them in the food & gift department!
